Scene Ideas Inc. is a staging rentals and custom fabrication shop located in Richmond, BC. It was incorporated in 2004 to serve as the necessary solution to meet the growing needs of the local events industry in Vancouver.
Scene Ideas has evolved to become an industry leader within the live events industry and works on all major music festivals in Western Canada as well as many large-scale corporate and private events.
Our 12, 000 square foot facility is equipped to handle all aspects of fabrication and maintains Western Canada’s largest inventory of Steeldeck® staging and accessories. Our ever-expanding inventory of scenic elements are in stock and can be rented ‘off-the-shelf’ or customized in-house.

Scene Ideas carries the largest inventory of Steeldeck® staging in Western Canada. Steeldeck® is a strong and durable staging system with a load capacity of 125 lbs per square foot. The modular nature of Steeldeck® platforms allows for stage designs in a variety of sizes and shapes, along with the ease of use for quick setup and dismantle without tools.
Scene Ideas also carries a large assortment of accessories that are compatible with Steeldeck® platforms such as handrails, guardrails, adjustable stair units, ramps, and many more. In addition to having Western Canada’s largest inventory of Steeldeck® staging, Scene Ideas also has custom staging and the ability to build any custom stage that is required which is compatible with Steeldeck® staging. Some of the custom items we have in our inventory include round stages, step units and ramps (some compatible with our round stages), plexiglass step units and scissor lifts that can be used as a wheelchair lift to a stage. Touring sets, theatrical scenery, trade show booths, event displays and props are made to order in our 12, 000 square foot scene shop housing our talented arsenal of carpenters, metal fabricators and painters.
